cookie information

  • What are cookies?
Cookies are small data files stored on your computer, mobile phone or tablet that collect information as you browse our website. Cookies cannot harm your computer and are essential for ordering products at Party Pieces and the effective operation of our website. If you do not wish to enable cookies on our website, you will still be able to browse our website, but unable to place orders - please see the section “How do I disable cookies.”
  • What information do cookies collect?
Cookies collect and remember information about browsing and purchasing behaviour if you access our website from the same browser or device. This includes your journey around the website, products you have purchased and pages visited. We do not use cookies to collect, store or record personally identifiable information such as your credit card details, name, address or other contact details.
  • Cookie types used by Party Pieces and their uses
There are different types of cookies that are used for varying functions on a website, for example some cookies are used to identify and resolve website errors, or provide product recommendations based on your browsing history.
Cookies have been classified into four categories by the ICC UK, based on their functions and what they are used for. The following three are used by Party Pieces:
Strictly necessary cookies: These are cookies that are required for the operation of Party Pieces. These cookies allow you to log into secure areas of our website, use a shopping cart and place orders.
Analytical/performance cookies: They collect information on how visitors use partypieces.co.uk, including number of page visits and if they get error messages from web pages. These cookies don’t collect information that identifies a visitor, instead the information these cookies collect is aggregated and therefore anonymous. It is only used to improve how partypieces.co.uk works.
Functionality cookies:These are used to recognise you when you return to Party Pieces and remember choices to make, such as keeping you logged into your account. This enables us to personalise our content for you and remember your preferences. The information these cookies collect may be anonymised and they cannot track your browsing activity on other websites.
  • Other cookies not currently used by Party Pieces and its uses
These cookies are used to deliver adverts more relevant to you and your interests. They are also used to limit the number of times you see an advertisement as well as help measure the effectiveness of the advertising campaigns. They are usually placed by advertising networks with the website operator’s permission. They remember that you have visited a website and this information is shared with other organisations such as advertisers. Quite often targeting or advertising cookies will be linked to site functionality provided by the other organisation.
  • What happens if I disable cookies?
If you disable some or all of our cookies, our website may not function properly. If you choose to disable third party cookies, you will still be able to make purchases on partypieces.co.uk, however if you disable all cookies, you will not be able to complete a transaction.
Some browsers offer a Do Not Track (DNT) feature. When DNT is enabled, it will send a request to a website so that your browsing behaviour is not tracked. There is currently no consensus on how companies should interpret DNT, and as a result partypieces.co.uk does not currently respond to these requests.
  • How do I disable cookies?
If you choose to disable all of our cookies, partypieces.co.uk may not function properly and you will be limited to browsing our website. You will not be able to add products to your basket and buy them.
Disabling cookies is different for each browser, so we would suggest you visit your browser’s support website to find the best way to do this.

By using our online services, you agree that we can place these types of cookies on your device.
