We Love Gingerbread Cookies!

Fairytale Favors have created a range of beautiful, hand decorated gingerbread cookies that make perfect birthday treats or going home presents. Vhari Russell, Sales and Marketing Executive for the company and mother of two has given us a few hints of how to use them at birthday parties.

Tasty tales
As a mum of a four year old and eight month old I am always delighted when I can find fun and easy party ideas for birthdays. Having just organised a party for 24, four year olds, I want to share my top tips on how to use gingerbread cookies at parties!

Table centrepieces
Cookie bouquets look stunning as a centrepiece and are really easy to create yourself. Fill a small bucket or vase with clear cellophane and arrange ‘cookie stems’ (rather like flowers) at varying heights. Why not add the ‘cookie lollies’ to the party bags as your guests leave?

Pass the parcel
For this party game, we added a mini gingerbread biscuit to each layer of the parcel, which kept the children going until lunch and made everyone feel like they’d won some sort of prize!

Party bags
Party bags can be so competitive, so this year I decided to be a little different and go for a greener option. I filled paper bags with a tomato plant, fun stickers, a piece of birthday cake and a gingerbread biscuit. I thought it would be fun for the children to have something they could grow in the garden. You could do the same with sunflowers or strawberries.

Gingerbread hunt
Hunts don’t need to be just an Easter treat, so why not add a hunt to your party. Prepare some clues to encourage guests to burn off their excess energy around the garden. Split them into two teams and have prizes for the winners.

We hope you have a wonderful party and our tips have helped. Don’t forget to drop us a line if you would like any gingerbread for your party. We’ve been working very hard to ensure our range offers natural food colours as we don’t want children bouncing off walls!  Please visit us at Fairytale Favours.
