5 decorations to create that
magical princess party look
Use
fairy lights to create a starry princess fairy
tale setting. Bunting is very regal and out on the
front lawn will act like a party sign to your guests. A
glittery door curtain will create intrigue and
excitement for your party guests as they arrive. All these items
can be found in our princess party

Use cheap
organza decoration to cover curtains, make bows on
chairs and create that exclusive royal look. Add more party
bunting as a regal trim. If you are having a garden party you can
create an arabian princess canopy by securing 4 long bamboo or cane
sticks into buckets of sand or the ground and tying the organza
corners to the top of each cane to create a canopy- again
bunting will finish the look. Big cushions and blankets underneath
create the princess setting.

Party
balloons are a wonderful way of filling an empty room
and creating that party look. They are also fun for
your little girls to take home at the end of the party. Mix up a
selection of plain pink balloons with princess themed or heart
shaped balloons. Use ribbon to tie these onto the backs of chairs
and let a few hang free from the ceiling to fill the blank spaces.
Create balloon archways, clusters and columns to fill the party
venue corners.

princess party food
ideas
1. pink party food ideas
There are so many pink
foods you can buy such as marshmallows, teacakes and pink wafer
biscuits. Natural pink dye can be made from beetroot, pomegranate
and berry juices. For example if you are making some savoury rice
add a drop of beetroot juice and voila pink princess
rice! If you mix some crème fraiche with your tomato pasta
sauce this will create pink pasta. Tomato sauce
and mayonnaise make a perfect pink dip and helps
you incorporate healthy vegetable snacks into your party food. Use
pink food colouring to make your own princess party nibbles such as
pink popcorn and pink chocolate crispy
squares (using white chocolate). For drinks, delicious
pink lemonade (mix in a dash of cranberry juice)
or a strawberry milkshake made with strawberries,
yoghurt and strawberry ice cream.
2. magical themed food
ideas
In fairy
tales, princesses are always surrounded by magical creatures such
as witches, unicorns and dragons. Label food after
magical themes with little labels on cocktail sticks. Sausages can
be 'giants fingers', green jelly 'ogre slime', chicken
wings 'dragon wings', ice cream cones are 'unicorn
horns', golden fish or chicken nuggets 'goblins gold', toffee apple
'snow whites apple', coconut icing 'fairy dust'.
3. princess
shapes
Transform
ordinary sandwiches, cheese and pizzas into pretty shapes using
cookie cutters. Use pink fillings such as pink mayonnaise and tuna,
ham and strawberry jam. Stack them on tiered cake stands for the
perfect princess tea party.
4. princess party table
decoration
Serve your
party feast in princess carriage food boxes, princess bowls and
place mats to keep with the theme. Paper doilies are perfect to
dress a normal pink table cover. Use flower petals or flowers in
vases to decorate and sprinkle gem jelly sweets over the table as
princess jewels.

5. magical
mirrors
A new
party game idea based on a game from the Practical Parenting Party
Book: Divide the children into pairs and ask them to sit facing
each other. One child can be Snow White's evil stepmother and the
other the magical mirror. Ask the evil stepmother to mime an action
such as 'comb your hair', 'pull funny faces'. The mirror must mimic
these actions. If a party guest laughs then they are out. Winning
princesses re-pair with other opponents still in the game until
there is a winner.

princess dressing up
Ask your
guests to dress up in fanciful princess outfits ready for the
enchanted celebration. Fill a box with extra dressing up items so
guests can accessorise their costumes, such as glittery tiaras,
beaded necklaces, feather boas and glass slippers. Make sure you
take some memorable photos of them looking gorgeous. If this is too
much to ask you can simply present them with a mini tiara when they
arrive which, alongside their party dresses, will make them perfect
princesses.
